  • This summer, while staying in a rural Nicaraguan beach town, I was fortunate enough to take a handful of yoga classes from Julia. It was a wonderful experience, both physically and spiritually! Julia was exceptionally attuned to the unique setting and the needs of her students. She radiates a warm, welcoming, and positive energy that was perfect given that all of the students were strangers to each other and practicing and staying in an unfamiliar setting. During our yoga sessions, Julia did a great job of establishing a sense of community and connection between the participants. As an older practitioner with plenty of physical issues, Julia was able to offer me specific pointers and adaptations to allow me to get the most out of our sessions.
